Carsten Grøndahl, Artistic Director of the Malmoe Guitarfestival. At the same time he is one of Scandinavian most wanted concert guitarist. For the second year in row he is invited to a tour in South- America as a soloist at the Guitarras del Mundo 98 in Argentina. He has released 3 solo-CDs were he received criticism for his bright and fashionable tunes filed with dramatically nerve and engagement.

 

After Carstens concert 6 pupils of Gunnar Hansson from Malmoe school of Music gave a smaller concert. Maybe in the future we can see and hear one of them as an soloist. You have to start somewhere and what a start! 250 listeners in the audience. Carlos Bonell,   born in London by Spanish parents in 1949. 1972 he became as the youngest ever known professor at Royal College of Music. He have played concerts with John Williams, Paco Peña, Pinchas Zukermann and Teresa Berganza. He has released many record's, and one Deccarecording of Rodrigos guitarconcert that received an award by Penguin CD Guide. Carlos Bonell gave also public masterclass at the University of Music in Malmoe.

 

 

 

 

Carlos Moscardini

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Carlos Moscardini, born in Buenos Aires 1959. He is one of Argentines most prominent guitarist. He plays classical guitar, folkmusic and tango. Besides that he play works of his own that got roots in Latin-American tradition. In 1990 he won the first price in "Primer Certamen Libre de la Nueva Musica Popular de la Provincia de Bunos Aires".

Ismo Eskelinen, is a young finnish guitarist who in June 1998 won the first price of the "The International Leo Brouwer Competition". This price did included an offer to give a concert at Malmoe Guitarfestival.

 

 

 

 

Amadeus Guitar Duo

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Amadeus Guitar Duo consist of the couple Dale Cavanagh (Canada) and Thomas Kirchhoff (Germany). Since they start to play together in 1991 they have given more than 250 concerts all over the world. Several composers have dedicated their works to them. They have played with several symphoniorchestra and released many CDs.

 

 

 

 

 

John Mills

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

John Mills. Since 1970 John Mills has been a concert guitarist on tour. He believes to be one of the best guitarplayer in England with a great international reputation. He has besides studies in England also been a student to Andres Segovia in Spain. Later on, Segovia make this comment to John Mills playing "his got a pureness in his technique and a mucicalic sensitivity". He has tour all over the world and have often participated in recordings and broadcasts for BBC.
